Aged Care Gold Coast welcomes Emmaus in Port Macquarie, NSW 2444 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

Emmaus offers a person-centred care approach to 116 high care residents within a modern, light filled environment. All residents enjoy private rooms with a mix of shared and individual en suites. Each room has their own private seating area looking out onto paved courtyards with seating and umbrellas provided. The western aspect of the building has views across lakes and wetlands with prolific bird and animal life.

All rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning. Some of Emmaus rooms have flat screen TVs provided. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with photographs, their own bedspreads or doonas and personal items from home. There are 4 separate dining areas. Residents have a choice of menus with all meals prepared by the Marian Hospitality Centre. Other facilities include a coffee shop and hairdressing salon.

Relatives and friends are always welcome at Emmaus. A private room is available for resident and family special occasions.

Qualified Lifestyle Facilitators who plan and organise a variety of programs to meet our resident's needs and to engage and enrich their wellbeing with a seven day program offered. Activities are broad ranging including but not limited to board games, Chairobics & singalong, ceramics, newspaper readings/ discussions, quizzes, crosswords, movies, Scrabble, bingo, Gardening, regular live entertainment from community choirs and groups, twice weekly bus trips in the CCA bus , Woodwork, letter writing and reading, individual and group special occasions celebrations, dog visiting program, ladies and men's' groups as well as individual activities aimed to engage and enrich resident's wellbeing. A beautician visits regularly . Pastoral care is available on a daily basis

Emmaus has a large , dedicated group of volunteers who give up their time to assist our residents with running our coffee shop, one to one walks, sit and talk as well as assisting or running activities and outings.
